Home Page

The Semrush Home page (formerly the SEO Projects Dashboard) provides you with widgets of data related to your work in Semrush. These widgets provide a snapshot of the most important metrics from your configured tools, enabling you to monitor your marketing efforts from a central dashboard.

There are three main ways to monitor a domain on your Home page:

  1. Semrush Copilot: This AI-powered assistant provides recommendations and alerts about your website's SEO. To use Copilot, you first need to create a folder.
  2. Folders: Create a Folder to track various metrics for a specific website or client. All of your existing projects have been automatically converted into folders.
  3. Domains for monitoring: Add a domain to this separate widget for a quick overview of its key organic and paid performance metrics.

This quick guide will help you better understand what all of the metrics on the dashboard mean.

Folder List

Your folders are displayed in a list on the Home page. Each folder acts as a workspace that unites multiple toolkits, displaying them as a set of blocks with key metrics from the tools you have set up.

You'll see important metrics at a glance, like your organic traffic, backlinks, ad performance, or review counts—depending on which tools you're using.

The widget is designed to display blocks for toolkits such as SEO, AI SEO, Traffic & Market, Local, Content, Social, and Ads. This allows you to see important metrics at a glance—like your AI visibility, organic traffic, ad performance, or review counts—depending on which tools you're using.

If a tool hasn't been configured yet, you'll see a button within its block to help you get started.

You may also see a block for a toolkit you haven't purchased, which is shown as a recommendation.

Domains for monitoring Widget

This widget allows you to monitor key metrics for any domain, even without setting up a full folder.

The metrics in this widget are pulled from our core tools:

  • Organic Keywords: The number of keywords bringing users to the website via Google's top 100 organic search results.
  • Organic Traffic: The estimated number of users expected to visit the website in the upcoming month.
  • Paid Keywords: The number of keywords bringing users to the website via Google's paid search results.
  • Paid Traffic: The estimated number of users expected to visit the website from paid search in the upcoming month.
  • Ref. Domains: The total number of referring domains linking to the website.
  • Authority Score: A metric gauging the domain's overall quality and SEO influence. The score is based on the domain’s backlink profile and traffic.

The percentages next to each number show the change compared to the previous period. You can click on any of these metrics to navigate to the corresponding full report.

The Domains for monitoring widget supports root domains, subdomains, and subfolders. The Organic/Paid traffic and Organic/Paid keywords metrics can be shown for a subdomain or subfolder. Referring Domains and Authority Score will be shown for the root domain.

All the metrics presented in the widget are Semrush data pulled from the following tools:
